We went around the neighbourhoods, meeting residents and passers-by, carrying a kiosk that served as a link between the artist and the public. Children and adults were encountered with an unusual memory of the city, far from the usual representation of Rome’s historical monuments. The installation, which recalls the old octagonal newsstands of the nineteenth century, was used as a hub of mediation with the residents: a moment of attraction and also reflection on the medium of the postcard itself! The postcard, a form of correspondence to send quick thoughts and memories, becomes a device to introduce and attract even the youngest visitors to an endangered form of communication… giving rise, with us, to a new Museum of Memory!
